- Cemeteries - There are three large cemeteries in Corinth which date back to the 1800s. Several Civil War soldiers and veterans are interred there. The Corinth National Cemetery, located on Horton Street, was established in the late 1800s and is the final resting place for 1,793 known and 3,895 unknown soldiers representing 273 regiments from 15 states. There are over one hundred-fifty smaller cemeteries scattered throughout Corinth and Alcorn County. Some hold graves of Civil War soldiers. The Crossroads Museum, the Alcorn County Genealogical Society, and the Corinth Regional Library have copies of the Alcorn County Cemetery Book.
